Video Clip Du Jour - From The Archives
This is a GREAt clip. If you've never seen Tom Mullica, you are about to be blown away! 1984 I lived in Atlanta for a year. Every weekend I could be found sitting in the second row at the "Tom Foolery", Tom Mullica's Magic Bar in Buckhead; a suburb of Atlanta. He never failed to amaze me with his expert card handling and he never let up on making the audience laugh as he had a million and one well staged gags at his disposal. I never introduced myself to him or let him know I was a magician, I just wanted to have a few drinks, watch his 90 minute show, laugh my ass off and hit the road. I regret not befriending this man and getting to know him better. He is one of my favorites.
This clip was on "Incredible Sunday" over a decade ago.

I never did figure out how he does that. I hope I never do.

Wow ! Thanks for posting that , Tom .
I love that routine. Incredible timing and beautifully accomplished sleight of hand (sleight of mouth ?) , and yet such as hilarious Geek Act , too !
At one time I had a VHS tape of Tom doing the cigarette act on David Letterman , but lost it somewhere along the line . Glad to see this again.
(I'm not a cigarette smoker, though I do enjoy a fine cigar now and then .... however, I'm sort of sad that cigarette/cigar manipulation is pretty much passe. I'm told it's a big no-no these days . Too bad. Cardini, Fred Kaps, Finn Jon , Mullica , John Calvert : I love 'em all . Calvert still performs his Cigarette manipulation routine , but makes a point of doing it with unlit cigarettes .... takes a lot of the punch out of it, IMO . Of course, Calvert doesn't smoke and he's 90-something and still going strong , so I guess he's right .)

I like working the Fenix Underground on the weekends. I drink and smoke cigars while I perform. I always have my trusty wooden cigars (that look lit) in my pocket. People freak on that shit.
