Sessions
Between Monday Night Magic, the Tuesday Night Session, Golfing and Dancing on Wednesday, Thursday's Cup and Ball night in Maple Valley, Street performing on Friday, Saturday & Sunday it's been a good week. Lots of activities, lots of interaction with interesting people.
There were a couple of first time attendee's at the Alki Beach Session: Pete Borrows and Tony Comito. We were also graced with a visit from Mr. Isaac Louie who treated us to his Magical Bullwhip Demonstration in the back yard. Fun stuff from a guy who understands funny. Scotty, Astrid, Mark, Tim & Steve also participated in an evening of magic. You know what I say? "The only thing better than a couple guys smoking cigars. . . . is four guys smoking cigars". We were puffing up my small dining room, cocktails getting cramped with 9 folks sitting around the table. Pete was impressed with Mark's nut and bolt trick (taught to him in strict confidence by Steve Dobson at one of our Alki sessions). Tony did a "Copper, Silver, Brass Routine". Pete did the "Gypsy Curse" with some very cool cards that he made himself. I performed a couple of Mike Gallo routines that I'm fond of. Purse frame routine with 3 copper coins and 3 silver coins surprise ending with 4 chinese coins and his no shell ball vase routine. Took me a while before I could perform it. I went into the kitchen and practiced it until I could do it. The boys liked my Riser Ball Vases. I like the little one for the gallo routine. Fun. Scotty did a Meyhew routine that Carpenter wrote up. New to me. Tim did a nice Hot Rod Routine. It was 2 or 3 before everyone was gone. Tim and I were golfing at 6:30AM, he was going to give me a wake-up call at 5:30AM, oy.
Pretty drive on the way to golf. I don't usually catch the sunrise behind the city and water view at the end of my street. Pretty day did not help my ugly round of golf.
