Wow. Just caught up with your blog. I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. Your choice of pictures and music were unbelievable. As I write this I-tuens is on and I am listening to Eric Clapton, and just finished with Free Bird.
Tom, you have an incredible talent in sharing what is going on in your life. We have a few things in common. Mari and I moved to Seattle in 1996, and within six months I lost my Mom to a long battle with cancer. Your choice of music brought back some wonderful memories with my Mom, one of the best hanging out in the back yard in Des Moines, Iowa listening to my brothers band play their rendition of Free Bird. That song has always had a special part in my heart, and I really enjoyed listening to it again tonight. She loved it too.
But then I continued to scroll down and saw your Mom's name on her tombstone. The spelling was a little different but I can tell you that I don't know a lot of Adrienne's in my life, and Adrienne Herbert is one of my favorites. She was a great lady, and from what you have said you were also blessed with a very special Mom.
