In 1985 I Lectured for a distinguished group of Japanese Magicians. I had all but forgot that any video existed documenting the evening in Tokyo. Here is a taste of that night 20 years ago.
A new life starts, grounded in happiness, love and prosperity!

I'm enjoying your video clips that you post .
What software are you using to get stuff from video tape to digital format so it can be posted on your blog ?

I'm really glad someone is enjoying the clips. I'm never quite sure. As for the how to, It's more the hardware I think. I shot in S-VHS for a decade and when my camera and machine both died, I had nothing to watch the video on. A couple years ago I bought the JVC SR-VS30U. A very cool tool. On one side it has a S-deck (Super VHS, will also play reg VHS); on the other side a mini-DV deck and in the middle an analog to digital converter. It also has a firewire port that connects directly into a camera or a computer. As for the software, I just use the iMovie that came with my Mac. There you have it!

Isn't it great (albeit sometimes depressing) to go back and look at ourselves when we were younger, skinnier and had more hair!
Those were the days!
I too really enjoy the clips Tom.
Thanks!
