Today I turn 40

Yesterday was Mothers Day. I called Moira to wish her a Happy Mothers Day, talk to the kids and confirm that I was going to see them today. I wanted to see them on Hope's Birthday, but Moira said no. We had agreed that Buster and I would see them on Monday, but now things had changed and she said that wasn't going to happen. I love getting news like this before I street perform. It can fuck my mood. I tried to stay proactive, not reactive. I called her back and asked about Tuesday, she said that would be fine. Hope said they were at Moses Lake. I hope they were all having fun. I miss them all a lot. Oh well, such is life.

I banged out shows at the market, but my heart wasn't in it. I came home spent some time with Buster and went to bed real early.

So, it's another day, a fresh week a whole new opportunity to get it right. Tomorrow Buster and I will drive across the mountains to see the kids. We'll take a birthday cake and some gifts to celebrate Hope's 6th birthday which was last week. Buster hasn't seen his brothers or sister for at least a couple of months. Were gonna have FUN with a capitol F.
