A new school year

I love my kids. I love making Buster's lunch and writing notes on his napkins.

I used to make all the kids breakfast when we lived in Cincinnati. Then I would take Max & Hope to school on my way to work. Seems like a million years ago now. I talked to the little kids the other day. Max & Hope started school in Ellensburg. They're all in the new house that Moira & Dom had built. I hope they're all happy.

Tonight Buster and I walked 5 miles along the beach. We walked to the city view and back. NICE.

Just wanted to drop a quick thanks for this post. I loved the idea, whether it is original with you or from somewhere else, about writing notes on the napkins you put in your son's lunch, and tried it right away. My daughter, 6 and in first grade, had the biggest smile when she got home and told me that my little note on her napkin had made her day.

Chris,
My mom used to put napkin notes in my lunch as a kid. It always made me smile. Funny, even after all the years of my notes; Buster still likes them. He is now 15.
