Trip
It was a trip how many people came up to me at the World Magic Seminar and said that they were readers of my blog. I wasn't sure if I should crawl under a rock or shake their hand and welcome them into the vortex of madness. All were nice people, with words of appreciation for the honest journey that unfolds here in my little corner of cyberspace.
The whole month was a whirlwind of travel, activity, death, depression and an opportunity to dig deep within myself to see what I am made of. While at the magic conference one morning, I participated in a 2 hour mediation conference call, with the mediator and Moira, that was long winded and unproductive. I could have slammed my nuts in the door and felt better than I felt when that call ended.
Then I found out that I didn't even place in the Close-Up Contest. The vibe of the day was dark until I got the call from my old friend Homer Liwag, asking me if I could be at the MGM by 11:30PM. I asked him why? He said that tonight was a night that I had been waiting for. He further explained that another old friend Chris Kenner (now the Exectutive Producer of the David Copperfield Show) was taking a few people on a private tour of the secret Copperfield Warehouse and Museum. I was elated!! I felt like a little kid on Christmas Eve. So the plan was to go back to the Cafe, where Roger Klause, Geoff Latta, Steve Ameden, Chris Carney, Phil Young and a couple other guys were hanging out; and kill a couple of hours before I had to go.
Lots of stories to tell and pics to post of the World Magic Seminar as well I my trip to Ken Klosterman's Salon de Magi. I love watching magic, I love performing magic, I love the history and artifacts of the craft. I LOVE MAGIC
Jesus, what a fucking geek
