I was working the market today and hopped up on my newspaper box to finish my show. I glanced down and cracked up. Someone had written me a note.

Tom - When my family and I left your performance yesterday we saw a police officer talking to you and motioning to the newspaper box -- was he telling you to stay off? Can you (do you) get ticketed for that?
My wife was wondering why you'd get up there and I'm not sure she believed my answer, "Because it looks cool." Do you have an official answer? =;)

Jay, it was great meeting you and your family. As for the cop he is a friend of mine and no one has a problem with me being up there.
As for the official answer, It's so that more people can see me. I can double or triple the size of my crowd when I am up there. It is fun, but the real reason is more financial.
Get my drift?
