My son the teenager
Yesterday I had to get in Buster's face a bit. Nothing too bad, just him being a teenager and me being a Dad. He was testing me, and I let him know exactly what was on my mind. My unrealistic expectations with regard to his capabilities to self motivate were the subject. If he needs me to write out a list of my expectations with deadlines, rewards and consequences I can do that. I told him that the school that he is in will demand a higher level of self motivation. It's all about growing up. . . . ain't that the truth.
