Wednesday Night
Did a gig last night, strangely enough at the Pike Place Market. There is a convention in town for the International Association of Culinary Professionals. They rented out the market for dinner, closed down the street, set up heated tents and threw an extravagant party for about 1,500 people. I ate, drank and performed till it was time to go to the Owl and Thistle and continued the evenings festivities of swing dancing into the wee hours of the night.
I was all decked out in my Versace suit looking sharp and feeling good. I danced with most of my favorite girls and a couple new ones.
Jake and Annie did the gig as well and joined the fun afterwards at the Owl. After some prodding Jake even hit the dance floor and cut a rug with his woman. I hope they come back for more next week! Here is a pic that Bill Johnston took of Jake last weekend.
Tonight I'm going to see John's play "Morvolo The Anti-Smoking Magician" should be fun. I watched a run through before the play opened. It will be interesting to see how it all came together in the end.
