Sound "Bite"

Bite This Seattle

I worked the Bite of Seattle today. Made a measly $150 I was not happy. The problem was the NOISE!!! I was only able to work the set breaks. For a while I used my sound system. My headset mic was not working so I had to try and use a handheld in the holder around my neck. It did not do the trick. Fucking Shit. I wrapped up around 7 and headed to Office Max to see what they had in headset mics. . . nothing I could use. On to Guitar Center, struck out there too. I got the last one at Radio Shack and will get a replacement tomorrow.

The shows I did were OK. I ended up straining my voice near the end. I'll go back and get'em tomorrow!

Looks like I may be moving into the beach house!! A bit worried about the financial demands, but I feel up to the challenge. I feel like working and I am ready to do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Bite of Seattle

I am off to make some cash! Got my Seattle Center Street Performing Permit yesterday. I also talked to the folks at the Bite about busking the event. Should be fun. I am looking forward to a big day!! Not sure If I should drive and pay for parking or just bus or cab it. I'll have all my shit with me. Leaning towards paying for parking. Nice to have a command center (Volvo stationwagon) to base out of.

Me & My Boy Liam

Took the three little kids to Lake Samamish yesterday. We went swimming for a few hours and had a great time. Buster hung out all day w/ Brian Masters' 12 year old brother Doug. Later in the evening I went dancing at the Owl & Thistle. Julie was there as Wil, Carie, Zak, Scott, Jenelle and a few others at our table.

Looking at houses

I've been spending a lot of time in the car driving around looking at houses for rent. Been using craigslist.org to find the places, mapquest to route them, then volvo to find them.

Guess I'll be moving somewhere in the next couple of weeks. Got my eye on this beauty of a 2 bedroom house for rent right acrosss the srteet from Alki beach. A bit more than I want to spend, but let's think longterm and with a positive attitude. I know how to make money. . . . I just need to get with it.

I've looked at houses from Kirkland to Ballard, from West Seattle to Issaquah. Shit, I have no fucking idea what I am doing. Oh well.
