In an hour the airport shuttle will take me to Sea-Tac Airport as I begin my adventure to Cincinnati for 6 days. When I return I will start a new job managing the Children's Museum Gift Shop. I hope to turn their store around and make it the profit center that it should be. The Executive Director asked me if I had a resume, I said no. . . I've got something better, experience.
I've had a busy weekend full of performing. The days, I worked at Pike Place Market banging out some street shows. In the evenings I worked the Fenix Underground. My street shows have become very tight and streamlined for the ever dissipating attention span. The world is a changing place. At the Fenix the club is so loud, most of the time I work in pantomime. I performed the Deans Box, Cups and Rings all without saying a word. This departure for my normal spewing of bullshit was a nice change of pace. Thank you Philemon, for allowing me to fill in for you this weekend. I needed the cash. I was tipped well and had 4 doubles of Crown Royal in the two hours I worked. Yow Baby! Worked with my topit a bit. Had a lot of fun.
While in Cincinnati, I'll be performing for a Proctor & Gamble function. I'll also be calling up some of my old magic students, see if they want a lesson while I'm in town. One man, an interesting man of note, Randy Michael's former CEO and the guy who built Clear Channel. He is a serious fan of magic who dabbles and always serves up the cuban cigars. His story is a fascinating one. He opened up his first radio at the age of 9. At 12 he started a radio repair business. I guess the rest is history.
I talked to Tony Comito over the weekend about the next lecture coming in November, Danny Cole.
Also had a nice Chat with Tim Flynn on the phone last night. He was asking about lessons. I am available for private lessons. I will also be trying to get back in the session loop. I'm sorry I've been missing the Elks Club and the South Center Sessions.
So there you have it
