Dinner with friends
Last week I was invited to dinner at Jake and Annie's. Scotty Walsh & Joe the Juggler were there as well. It's been interesting to identify the different circles of friends that I will miss. There's the community of magicians, my street performing friends and my swing dance friends. I am so lucky and blessed in my life to feel such warmth and friendship from all of these people.
I got to tell you that the buskers are certainly the most colorful and the Wednesday night dinner in Ballard was an evening of laughs, sharing and community.
Annie prepared a wonderful home cooked meal with hand made noodles and as well as a double layer carrot cake with icing from scratch. Good time with good friends. We talked about our experiences street performing, told jokes and Joe treated us to a skit of calling Tommy Twister on his new cell phone.
I've traveled all over the world, and met so many interesting and talented people. The journey continues, as I prepare to embark on a new adventure filled with new opportunities and new friends. I love my life.
As we were leaving, Scotty gave me a few nice Cuban cigars to enjoy! Now that's a friend. . . thanks Scotty.
After dinner Jake was kind enough to give me a lift to the Owl & Thistle. As always, I was a dancing fool. Another great night filled with friends all telling me that they didn't want me to leave. Very touching. The evening ended with Maggie asking me to dance. The dance ended with me dipping her and slamming her head onto one of the candles on the cocktail table hard enough to break the holder. OUCH! That's not how I wnated her to remember me.
I got a do over dance on Friday night with her at the Pampas Room and it went much better. I was so happy to see Julie Wilson there where we must have danced 4 or 5 songs in a row. I love magic, I love street performing and I love dancing. It's been such a great time getting to know so many wonderful people.

Father's Day in Ellensburg!!
It was a lovely day to drive over the mountains. Buster and I left the house today at 8AM. Washington certainly is pretty, this time of year. Still some snow capped mountain tops amidst a sea of green.
We picked up Max, Hope and Liam and went to a park for some fun in the sun.
The kids were very happy to see Buster and me. All four of my wonderful children are growing up beautifully. I was excited and happy to see them too.
It was so nice to play with them, hear them laugh, hold them in my arms. It really was a great day!
I love my kids and hope that they know that. I watch them as they interact and I study the people that they are becoming. I miss my kids, but as in all life, things move forward.
At lunch I told them that Buster and I were moving to California. As it appeared to me, it really didn't phase them too much.
We enjoyed our lunch and called both Poppa and Grampy to wish them a Happy Father's Day. Hope fell off her chair and started to cry. I picked her up and comforted her. She put her arms around me and held me tight.
After the park and lunch we went to a movie, Buster and Max saw the X-Men III and Hope, Liam and I went to see the Garfield Movie "A tale of two kitties"
During the movie Liam sat in my lap eating his popcorn and explained the movie to me in the confusing parts. He smiles and laughs non stop. I have great kids and Moira & Dom are doing a excellent job of raising them.
Although entertainment options are limited in Ellensburg, we never lack for new ideas of what to do. Here are the kids standing on giant blocks of styrofoam. Never a dull moment.
Goodbye kids! See ya. . . .
